Signs of End Times

"What signs indicate that the end times are approaching?"

Answer:
Matthew 24:5–8 gives us some important clues for discerning the approach of the end times: “Many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.” An increase in false messiahs, an increase in warfare, and increases in famines, plagues, and natural disasters—these are signs of the end times. In this passage, though, we are given a warning: we are not to be deceived, because these events are only the beginning of birth pains; the end is still to come.

Some interpreters point to every earthquake, every political upheaval, and every attack on Israel as a sure sign that the end times are rapidly approaching. While the events may signal the approach of the last days, they are not necessarily indicators that the end times have arrived. The apostle Paul warned that the last days would bring a marked increase in false teaching. “The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons” (1 Timothy 4:1). The last days are described as “perilous times” because of the increasingly evil character of man and people who actively “oppose the truth” (2 Timothy 3:1–9; see also 2 Thessalonians 2:3).

Other possible signs would include a rebuilding of a Jewish temple in Jerusalem, increased hostility toward Israel, and advances toward a one-world government. The most prominent sign of the end times, however, is the nation of Israel. In 1948, Israel was recognized as a sovereign state, essentially for the first time since AD 70. God promised Abraham that his posterity would have Canaan as “an everlasting possession” (Genesis 17:8), and Ezekiel prophesied a physical and spiritual resuscitation of Israel (Ezekiel 37). Having Israel as a nation in its own land is important in light of end-times prophecy because of Israel’s prominence in eschatology (Daniel 10:1411:41; Revelation 11:8).

With these signs in mind, we can be wise and discerning in regard to the expectation of the end times. We should not, however, interpret any of these singular events as a clear indication of the soon arrival of the end times. God has given us enough information that we can be prepared, and that is what we are called to be as our hearts cry out, “Come, Lord Jesus” (Revelation 22:20).

Living a Perfect Life

Leading a Life to Perfection

"Therefore be perfect just as your heavenly Father is perfect." (Mathew 5:48)

Can a human kind live a perfect life? Is it possible with man? If not possible then why did God has to say, " ...be perfect just your heavenly father is perfect"? Which perfection did God is talking about? Yes, we can be a perfect being. Remember, when God created us He created us as perfect being. Our mind, hearts, eyes, legs, body and spirit everything was perfectly made. There was nothing less or more. Everything was done in a perfect way. But what happen to that perfection. First Adam and Eve had been lost that perfection by disobeying God. Nevertheless, God Himself came down from heaven to earth and live with us in the form of human and had shown all the way to live as perfect as our heavenly Father. It was impossible for us to become perfect without Jesus. But it became possible for us now through Jesus. Because Jesus made it possible. Now we know that leading a life to perfection is possible. However, there is still difficulty to live a perfect life. Have you thought ever what made your life so difficult to live a perfect life? Why do we fail to be a perfect human being?

Let's go back to Genesis 3:6: "And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that  it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise,........." Notice this. What did woman saw in the tree? How did woman saw the tree as? Good for food, pleasant to the eyes and desired to make one wise. All these things are for self satisfaction or self pleasures. God has given human being two natural gifts: Free Will and Conscience. Free Will is -- freedom to choose and Conscience is --- to know good and evil or right and wrong. God knows when He gave us free will we may choose what is evil so in order to protect our free will He gave us another sense that is Conscience so that we will never choose the evil one. But what happen even after knowing the good and evil or right and wrong still then we choose evil one. So this is where Adam and Eve failed. They made the wrong choice which was forbidden. What made Eve to choose the wrong one? It was her personal desire for self satisfaction.
There are many things around us in this world that arouse our desire and carry us away to increase our self pleasure. We need to identify what things are there around us so much pleasing to our own eyes. Pleasing to our eyes are the real instrument of Satan to make us fail to be perfect. Whatever pleases to our eyes we tried to grasp that at any cost for our satisfaction. We want to satisfy ourselves not to God. This self pleasure is the root of corruption. Self pleasure brings corruption to our mind and that corruption will lead us into destruction. Finally we are destroyed. You see how our life may end to misery; Pleasure --- to ---- Corruption ---  and Corruption  -- to --- Destruction.
Did our God wants that? Never. Therefore He has commanded us to be perfect.
Whatever difficulty may be there, still then there is a possibility to become a perfect being. In order to lead our corrupted life into perfect life; first we need to understand the root of corruption, the self pleasure and then make a right choice with God's given sense called "Conscience". Secondly, never misuse the "Freewill" that God has given us to choose. We need to learn to love ourselves. Loving ourselves does not mean to destroy ourselves but it is to save ourselves. If you want to save your life take care of your life. Make a right choice. Never go after self pleasure or selfish desire that will bring miserable days to you. Our desire should be to please God. If our desire is to please God no one can tempt us and make us fail. Learn from Jesus. Live like Jesus. Come close to Jesus. You will know the way to live as perfect as God.
May our Living God help you to live as perfect as He as you read this message.

"Why did Nebuchadnezzar change Daniel’s name to Belteshazzar?"

"Why did Nebuchadnezzar change Daniel’s name to Belteshazzar?"
Nebuchadnezzar was king of Babyloniafrom 605 BC to around 563 BC, and he was responsible for changing Daniel’s name to Belteshazzar. King Nebuchadnezzar had conquered Judah, destroying Jerusalem in 586 BC, an event that had been prophesied by the prophet Jeremiah (Jeremiah 25:9). Some of the inhabitants of Judah were taken back to Babylon as captives, including a number of the children of royal and noble families, to be integrated into Babylonian society (Daniel 1:3–4). Among those taken were four boys, around the age of 14 at the time, named Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah.

All four of these Hebrew names had meanings connected to faith in God. But upon arrival in Babylon, their names were changed: “The chief official [of Babylon] gave them new names: to Daniel, the name Belteshazzar; to Hananiah, Shadrach; to Mishael, Meshach; and to Azariah, Abednego” (Daniel 1:7). The boys’ names were changed as a way of encouraging them to forget the God and traditions of their homeland and become conformed to the ways and gods of Babylon. It was a forced assimilation; Nebuchadnezzar wanted Daniel and his friends to “conform to the pattern of this world” (Romans 12:2), and a name change was one step toward that goal.

Each name Daniel and his friends were given carried a meaning associated with a different Babylonian deity.Abednegomeans “servant of Nebo,” for example.Belteshazzar, the name given to Daniel, means “Bel protects his life.” The meaning of the nameDanielis “God is my judge.” The suffix of Daniel’s name (and Mishael’s) is-el, which refers toElohim, one of the names of the God of Israel.AzariahandHananiahcarry the suffix-iahor-yah, which is short forYahweh, the covenant name of God (see Isaiah 26:4).

Miraculously, God kept these young men alive, even though they refused to conform to the indoctrination, diet, and religion of Babylon. Daniel and his companions asked to be fed vegetables rather than the king’s unlawful food, and they were granted their wish on the condition that their health did not suffer. God made them thrive physically beyond their peers, because of their God-honoring obedience (Daniel 1:8–16). They would not bow down to the idol of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar’s image, and were sentenced to death, but God saved them from the midst of a fiery furnace (Daniel 3:23–27). In the end, Nebuchadnezzar was forced to acknowledge the miracle, and he decreed that the people of Babylon honor the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego (verses 28–29).

After the wonders of God were shown to him, Nebuchadnezzar himself acknowledged Daniel’s true name and honored the God of Israel, writing, “Daniel came into my presence. . . . (He is called Belteshazzar, after the name of my god, and the spirit of the holy gods is in him)” (Daniel 4:8). Years later, the queen of Babylon still referred to Daniel by his Hebrew name, although she knows of Nebuchadnezzar’s attempt to change it: she spoke of him as “Daniel, whom the king called Belteshazzar” (Daniel 5:12).

Why did God calls us?

SIX THINGS GOD HAS CALLED US FROM TO DO AND HAVE!

In this sermon outline we share 6 different calls from God to our hearts and live to give us strength to run the race and have the victory in our lives. Many times we are so busy we do not here God calling.
I. Called from labor to rest. (Matt. 11:28) Matthew 11:28 (KJV) Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
A. One reason He calls us to rest is to learn of Him and to lean on Him.
Matthew 11:29-30(KJV) 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
B. He do want us to work but also rest so we can go back to work. "The hardest thing about milking cows," observed a farmer, " is that they never stay milked.
II. Called from death to life. (
1 John 3:14) 1 John 3:14 (KJV) We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
A. We can know we have this life. We know that we have passed from death unto life…
B. This life is abundant and eternal.
1. Death is not extinguishing the light from the Christian; it is putting out the lamp because the dawn has come.
2. God buries His workmen, but not His work.
III. Called from bondage to liberty. (Gal 5:13) Galatians 5:13(KJV) For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
A. Jesus makes us free first through TRUTH and second by He setting us free.
B. Peter Marshall, prayer before the U.S. Senate. Lord Jesus, thou who art the way, the truth, and the life; hear us as we pray for the truth that shall make all free. Teach us that liberty is not only to be loved but also to be lived. Liberty is too precious a thing to be buried in books. It costs too much to be hoarded. Help us see that our liberty is not the right to do as we please, but the opportunity to please to do what is right.
1.
John 8:32 (KJV) And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:36(KJV) If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
IV. Called out of darkness into light. (1 Pet. 2:9) 1 Peter 2:9 (KJV) But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
A.
Matthew 5:14 (KJV) Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.
1. We are the light because He is the Light and we are reflectors of His Light.
John 8:12(KJV) Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
2. Some people change their ways when they see the light, others only when they feel the heat. We need the fire of the Holy Spirit.

V. Called from bondage to peace. (1 Cor. 7:15 1 Corinthians 7:15 (KJV) But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace.
A. He calls us from bondage to give us His peace.
John 14:27 (KJV) Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
1. The world may give us problems and mountains but in the midst of our trails He give us Peace.
2. Peace that Jesus gives is not the absence of trouble, but is rather the confidence that He is there with you always.
3. Safety consists not in the absence of danger but in the presence of God.
VI. Called to the fellowship of His Son. (1 Cor. 1:9) 1 Corinthians 1:9 (KJV) God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
A. Think of this, God want to have fellowship with us.
1. He wants to be our friend as well as savior, Lord and God.
2. My mother along with millions of others love that old hymn ‘What a friend we have in Jesus’
3. I want the whole Christ for my Savior, the whole Bible for my book, the whole Church for my fellowship, and the whole world for my mission field. John Wesley.
B. Today He is calling everyone to his table. He is knocking at our heart’s door.
Revelation 3:20 (KJV) Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
